TAG- Earth Day Clean Up In-Person
Today we will meet at the Newberry Community Partnership located at 913 Diamond Street, Williamsport to help them with an Earth Day Litter Clean Up Day. Gloves, bags, and Pizza Lunch at noon are provided by the Newberry Community Partnership! Please dress appropriately for cleaning and walking, and remember to wear layers for outdoor cleanup.
About TAG (Teen Advisory Group)- This program is designed for teens aged 12 -18 who wish to volunteer or earn service hours. Participants will help create visuals for library photo opportunities, volunteer at programs such as summer learning, brainstorm ideas for teen programs, run programs they create, and design cards, door hangers, and other activities to share with local senior care facilities and other nonprofits in the community. This is a time to give back for a great cause - AND receive volunteering credit simultaneously.

This program supports the PA Forward state initiative by providing social and civic literacy opportunities for learning and highlighting the transformative nature of public libraries within a community. Libraries contribute to education, employment, entrepreneurship, engagement, and empowerment, but are often overlooked as catalysts for powerful individual and community change.
