Learn how to create a spreadsheet.

We will be utilizing Google Sheets, but we will discuss the minor differences between OpenOffice Calc and Excel as we go along. Questions are welcome! 

You may bring a laptop or tablet, but it isn't required to learn in this program. 

We will focus on learning how to create a spreadsheet for a budget. Each session will build upon the previous one.

Teens who want to learn spreadsheets are welcome to come with their guardians.

About the presenter: Kim Mummert has been working with computers for 25+ years (can anyone say MS-DOS). During that time, she taught many people how to use computers, including spreadsheets, and was part of the team supporting people once they were working on their own files. Though now retired, she continues to use spreadsheets in her personal life and is eager to teach others how to use them.

This program is one of the many ways the James V. Brown Library supports the Pennsylvania Library Association's PA Forward initiative by providing opportunities for learning in basic and financial literacy.
