Friends of the Library Book Review In-Person
On Friday, March 6 join author and traveler Beth Binger as she shares her journey, the adventures that shaped her, and the inspiration behind her book, There’s Wonder Around the Bend. Through her popular YouTube channel WonderBing Travel and book, as well as her role as personal travel advisor, she serves a growing community of women who seek guidance, assistance, and support for their unique adventures. In the past eight years, she has adventured solo over 70,000 miles across America, Canada, and Europe. (Most of it with Lexi her Golden Retriever 🐾.) Her goal is never speed, but to embrace each moment; not to simply get from A to B, but to fully enjoy every slow and winding mile of the journey before her.
Binger’s mission is to equip and inspire people to experience wonder through confident and purposeful travel. She teaches the practicalities of solo travel, but more importantly, how to seek (and find!) freedom and wonder in an experience uniquely designed for every adventurer.
Binger’s early childhood was spent in Mosquito Valley near Duboistown before her family moved up the mountain to Bastress. She is a graduate of Jersey Shore High School and Grove City College and earned her teaching certification from Lycoming College. After years of raising her family and teaching in both public and private schools, Binger devotes much of her time to writing, traveling, and supporting her growing community of fellow road-trippers. She currently lives in Mechanicsburg.
