He graduated from Swarthmore College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History. Currently, he focuses his practice on Real Estate and Real Property matters, Commercial Transactions, Business Succession, Municipal Law and School Law. Sterngold is also a licensed Title Agent. Prior to joining McNerney, Page, he practiced at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in New York City, where he represented public companies and underwriters in capital markets transactions. He is licensed to practice law in both New York and Pennsylvania.

1929: Inside the Greatest Crash in Wall Street History—and How it Shattered a Nation is not just a story about money, but a tale of power, psychology, and the seductive illusion. It’s about disregarded alarm bells, financiers who fell from grace, and skeptics who saw the crash coming—only to be dismissed until it was too late. Doris Kearns Goodwin, Pulitzer Prize-winning author, states, “When a story of immense historical gravity—the drama and trauma of 1929—meets a writer steeped in its scholarship and gifted with a rare clarity of vision, the result is a work of lasting resonance: tangible and immediate. In 1929, Andrew Ross Sorkin captures the moment when ambition, greed, and speculative euphoria collided to plunge America into an economic abyss, sparking the Great Depression.”

The review begins at 12:15 p.m. in the Lowry Room of the Welch Family Wing of the James V. Brown Library with a Q & A from 12:45-1:00 p.m. Complimentary snacks and bottled water will be available. Reservations are required due to space considerations.
