CHAOS CROCHET In-Person
Join us at a 5-session multi-week beginners' crochet program for teens and adults! We will create a tree; see the image below. You will learn the basic stitch, how to increase and decrease, and how to increase in the round, chain stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, bobble stitch, and post stitches. These or variations of these stitches make up the majority of crochet stitches. This program is on Tuesdays: November 5th, 12th, and December 3rd, 10th, and 17th. You must attend all dates to learn how to create a finished tree.
The tree will consist of:
5x usable pieces made: 1 scrubby, 1 coaster, 3 washcloths/hand towels.
- Each piece has only 1 stitch type to learn per created item. One stitch type is used in 3 pieces, first to learn, and then the other two are for practice while learning the rest.
This program is on Tuesdays: November 5th, 12th, and December 3rd, 10th, and 17th. You must attend all dates to learn how to create a finished tree.
**About the Presenter:** Doll is a stay-at-home mother of two, one of whom she homeschools. She has a cat, two dogs, and a pet Canadian (which normal people refer to as a husband). Originally from Maine, Doll spent several years in Canada before settling in Pennsylvania. She is an avid reader, crafter, and gamer, always making sure to have a project with her while on the go. Doll learned to crochet from her mother at 10, starting with chains and slip stitches. She picked up the craft again during the COVID-19 pandemic and discovered that the repetitive nature of crocheting helps her de-stress. Since then, crocheting has become an integral part of her everyday life, and she wants to share that joy with you!
*Please be advised that at the conclusion of class, all participants must exit directly to the Edwin Street Exit because the library will be closing.
