Become a Good Citizen In-Person
In this seven week civics program for tweens and teens, learn about some local history, the branches of government, elections and the importance of voting in our democracy. We will have interactive lessons at the library along with visits from local government officials who will talk about their work and the roles they play in local government. There will also be two field trips included, one to the Lycoming County Courthouse and another to the Taber Museum. When you register, you will be registered for all 7 sessions.
For questions about this program please contact Sheila at showarth@jvbrown.edu
This program is one of the many ways Pennsylvania Public Libraries support the PA Forward Initiative through providing basic literacy and civic and social literacy opportunities for learning.
