ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIVISM In-Person
Hey there, are you ages 6-17 years old and interested in learning how to protect our environment? If so, join Julie Hulslander for an engaging discussion on environmental awareness and get creative by making a poster to raise awareness in our community. This program spans two days, and it's important to attend both dates: 1/28 and 1/29. During our sessions, we'll cover topics such as ecology, environment, litter, recycling, and how to design a poster that's attention-grabbing, conveys a message, and can be easily read from a distance.
During the second sessions, partners from the community will come to see the sign they will be displaying and tell us where it will be located in the community! After we have them laminated Julie and Jacquie will get them the signs for display.
All about our presenter: Julie Hulslander has spent decades teaching and joyfully creating with children and adults in a variety of capacities. Her dedication to the environment, including local beautification, and her advocacy that art is for everyone have manifested themselves in offering these "posters with a purpose" workshops.
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Jacquie at jweaver@jvbrown.edu or (570) 326-0526 x115
This program is one of the many ways Pennsylvania Public Libraries support the PA Forward Initiative by providing basic, informational, civic, and social literacy opportunities for learning.
